Entertainment, Activities and Special Events

At Morton Grange we recognise the important role that entertainment, activities and special events play in enriching resident's lives. Not only in terms of encouraging mental and physical activity but also to provide opportunities for wider socialisation and encourage relative participation.

To ensure a full programme of events we have monthly "Friends of Morton Grange" meetings to discuss social events and fundraising. We have also appointed an activities co-ordinator and committed to holding an organised social event with entertainment at least once a month. All proceeds from these events go to "The Wishing Fund" which contributes towards the cost of trips out.

Within the home we have regular activities such as arts and crafts, scrabble, cards and dominoes, indoor ten-pin bowling, wii tournaments etc.  We also regularly organise trips out locally to the cinema, shopping, historic houses, places of natural beauty and expos such as the "BBC Good Food Show."
